ugly bird song
blue skies hurt my eyes
too bright
dust lays all over everything
there is nothing that i can do about any of it
it seeps in through cracks in walls that are not very well build walls and windows that can easily be pried open
the green of trees and grass (if any has survived the heat of a relentless sun) stands in stark contrast to the summer colours of dessert
browns in every shade
they comfort my tired eyes and this
turning twisting mind
the clouds are white and made of cotton
the birds are loud and their songs sometimes sound harsh and ugly
they are everywhere
i wait for darkness
i want for silence
but nothing of meaning or of rest or of peace can be found there
i am in a dessert
it is dry and hot
it is too clear and bright for my eyes
for my mind
i am thirsty
t
trap door
Looking for a job
feeling quite small
the air is arid
the sky goes on and on forever and
the mountains stand over me like a terrible reminder of my worth
fresh air and sun do me some good
but the silence trapped between trap doors is sufficating and I am wondering how long it will be before I break and fall
